I watched Mary Whyte's DVD first, and couldn't wait to try her technique. She says it's a sketch, but if I could do what she does on this video, I think I'd feel it was a finished portrait. She caught the model's features but also his silent personality. I would love to see her make a DVD with what she would term a "finished portrait". I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
