Bead Fest Portland is the premier west coast event where you can learn to make fabulous jewelry and stock up on beads and jewelry making supplies at the International Bead Bazaar! Put these dates on your calendar: September 24-27, 2009, at the Oregon Convention Center. Class seats will go fast, so sign up now to get into your favorite classes!
Take your beading to a new level by boldly mixing unique brass findings with lustrous seed beads and pearls. Students will first use circular square stitch to create seed-bead connectors embellished with bead caps. Then, we'll use pearl-embellished strips of ladder stitch to join the beadwoven connectors to the metal connectors. Snaps are hidden inside a custom clasp for a clean finish.
Materials Included in Kit (included with class fee): Two colors of size 11 seed beads, size 8 seed beads, seed pearls, antique brass connectors and bead caps, snaps, beading needles, and thread. Students must bring these REQUIRED MATERIALS to class: Required: Beading surface (mat, tray, or fabric-covered board) and scissors, Optional: Task lamp with extension cord, thread conditioner, thread burner
