Box Clasp

Here is a version of an unusual box catch that is quite easy to make. Most box catches have a trigger that pushes down on the catch, but this design eliminates that piece entirely. This would have seemed odd a few years ago, but now clasps like this are familiar from backpacks, bike helmets, and dozens of other applications.
This clasp can be made in a wide range of sizes and proportions, so use these dimensions only as a point of reference.
Basic soldering and safety knowledge is helpful in completing this project.
