Makes great bracelets (but ignore part of the instructions)

I'm still fairly new to bead weaving and had never done a herringbone stitch before this bracelet, but the extra stitch instructions had me off and going with no problems. I think it's a great bracelet for a beginner who has looked at bead weaving instructions before and has some experience working them out.
The one major problem I had was that the illustrations of the different steps sometimes don't seem quite right. Unless I'm just missing something. In particular, where it says, "forming the zig-zag," the red line that represents the thread goes through the 11/0, through the 3mm bugle, and THEN it shows you should go UNDER the next 11/0 from the previous row. Then you're supposed to string another 11/0 and 3mm bugle. No matter what I did, I couldn't get this approach to work. It seemed very unstable and wanted to twist a lot. So I simply strung the two beads and then went down through the top of the 11/0 on the previous row, then back up the adjacent 3mm bugle. Sort of like the Repeat all the way across. This makes it so that the rows of bugles and seeds don't line up perfectly from one section to the next, but I rather like that effect.

I love this bracelet! I've made it four times in different colorways, and each of the recipients was thrilled with it. It does take a while to complete. The angle comes out right if you use Japanese bugle beads. Also, if you substitute in 2 mm rounds for the seed beads on the row where you change direction of tilt, you can make rounded waves. That was a nice effect.
