Designer Sarah Barb our found her inspiration for this top in the traditional English riding jacket. As the project came to life, it took on its own slightly retro style. The nipped waist and contrasting collar of the riding jacket remained, while the sleeves became shorter and the pockets disappeared to keep the look simple and trim. Worked from the top down with raglan shaping, the jacket can be tried on and adjusted for size and shape as it is being made. Vertical darts at the waist and bust further shape the jacket.
