Often preferring the look of back-and-forth crochet over crochet worked in the round with one side facing, designer Kathy Merrick was further inspired by a pretty, simple chevron pattern from a Japanese stitch book and used it as the cuff of these flat-worked mittens. The sock yarn is springy and produces a comfortable, warm fabric that is lightweight enough to let you use your hands while wearing the mittens.
