This designer created this adorable baby/toddler set to be a challenging, yet quick, project. The pieces incorporate both knitting and crochet in a highly technical construction, but the result is true heirloom quality.

Finished Size: 18 (21 1/2, 25)" chest circumference, to fit 3 to 9 months (9 to 18 months, 18 to 24 months). Garment shown measures 21 1/2".
Yarn: Steinbach Wolle Golden Baby (100% superwash merino; 180 yd [165 m]/ oz [50 g]; CYCA #3 light): #004 light yellow; dress 5 (6, 7) balls; pants 2 (2, 3) balls. Yarn distributed by Aurora Yarns.
Yarn weight: #3 - Light
Gauge: 27 sts and 37 rows = 4" in cable patt on larger needles. 32 sts and 15 rows = 4" in V-shell patt using smallest hook.
Needles: Hooks: Sizes D/3 (3.25 mm), E/4 (3.5 mm), and F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. Needles: Sizes 2 (2.75 mm) and 3 (3.25 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
