Two silk yarns are tapestry crocheted to create the diamond motif on this luxurious scarf with excellent drape. One yarn is carried while the other is crocheted. It is possible to make a variety of sizes with the same motif simply by increasing or decreasing the size of the base chain. The increases at the ends of the scarf form a pattern as they build one upon the other.
Finished Size: 9" wide by 64" long.
Yarn: Halcyon Gemstone Silk 2/12 (100% silk; 610 yd [558 m]/3 1/2 oz [99 g]; CYCA-standard yarn weight system-1): #103 ruby (A), 1 skein. Halcyon Gemstone Silk Boucle (100% silk; 324 yd [296 m]/3 1/2 oz [99 g]; CYCA-standard yarn weight system-3): #106 rose gold (B), 1 skein.
Yarn weight: #0 - Lace
Gauge: 16 sc and 20 rows = 4".
Needles: Hooks: Size I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
