Great resource for a beginner

When I first bought this ebook, I was a rank beginner (3 months of metalsmithing under my belt) and as I have the somewhat misfortune of residing in geographical area that offers absolutely zero formal instruction for soldering, I had to learn everything from either YouTube or purchasing a lot of books and magazines. Would I buy this book now, as a metalsmith with just over a year under my belt? Chances are not, because the book has already served it's purpose and I suppose in actual fact, that's the best compliment a person can leave. For those people that are just beginning to work with a torch, this book is awesome. For those that have experience in working with a torch, absolutely, it's going to be a repeat of most things you already know, but I've also bought books where I've only learned one new thing and considered it to be an investment well made and I still like having it as a reference and part of my collection of resource material that got me to my present point. I still have a lot to learn, but this book certainly helped me build my confidence in the process of learning to metalsmith and I would highly recommend it.
Save your money. Greatly dissapointed.

I agree with the last review. I would pay that amount for an actual book but not for an e-book, although being in the UK it does save postage, I still prefer a book I can hold & read anywhere.
