In an interesting deviation from normal construction, this shawl isn't shaped by decreasing evenly from the top (cast-on) edge to the tip. Instead, the decreases are worked at each end of every right-side row for about half the length, then at the end of every row thereafter so the lower sides are slightly angled instead of being straight. The original pattern was modified by adding a few rows of garter stitch after the lace edge at the top and a garter-stitch edging along each side. Adding more stitches to the lace edge that is sewn onto the two lower sides to give a more rounded shape to the three corners.
Finished Size: About 56 inches (142 cm) wide across top edge and 24 inches (61 cm) long from center of top edge to tip of lower point, relaxed after blocking.
Yarn: Wooly West Horizons Lace Yarn, 100% wool yarn, 525 yards (480 m)/50 g skein, 2 skeins of Natural White
