Description
This blanket is so soft, so generously sized, so beautiful that it will make anyone cuddled within it feel special, not to mention warm and comfortable. It requires a lot of knitting and a lot of yarn, but because it is made in five separate strips, rather than in one big piece, it is a surprisingly manageable project-even one that can be worked on while traveling, one strip at a time.

I knitted this beautiful blanket this summer. I used Cascade 128 yarn (single stand) and it worked beautifully. When I first started I anticipated it would take me 4 months to knit if I could keep at it. It was so much fun and got faster as I memorized the patterns. And because there is so much "interest," I never got bored. Finished in 10 weeks! I made it as a gift for a good friend, but needed to keep it for a couple weeks so I could just look at it. Each time I laid it out it was more stunning than I remembered. The lucky gift recipient gushed with enthusiasm when I gave it to him...using words like amazing and unbelievable! I enjoyed the pattern so much I would make it again even though it is a very committing project. Love the fact that it is worked in 5 manageable panels.
