When the winter winds blow, this is the kind of tweedy sweater that this designer pulls on to stay comfortable in her seventeenth-century New England farmhouse. Cables travel from the ribless hem to form interlocking diamonds on a seed-stitch background. The sleeves are worked without cables in simple seed-stitch, and the sweater ends in a high ribbed collar.
