The Garden Plot is a popular counterpane square for knit coverlets. Here, the blocks in MOSS are arranged into a rectangle that becomes a shrug when folded and shaped with a deep eyelet ribbing.
Finished Size: Small/Medium (Large/XL) Cuff to Cuff Width: 30 (36.5)"/76 (92.5)cm. Back Length: 23.5"/59.5cm.
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham Moss (70% extrafine Merino wool, 30% acrylic; 163 yd [150m]/50g): #07 fuchsia, 4 (5) balls.
Yarn weight: #3 - Light
Gauge: Motif Square = 6.5" (16.5 cm) using #9 needles.
Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm) double-pointed and #7 (4.5mm) circular, 24"/60cm long. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers, yarn needle.
