A colorful halter tunic for summer.

Deborah Newton styles this short, swingy tunic with wide stripes punctuated by simple offset eyelets to create a light fabric that doesn't feel sheer. An unusually airy tape yarn provides slinky drape.

Finished Size: 35 1⁄2 (39, 42 3⁄4, 46 1⁄4, 49 3⁄4)" bust circumference. Tunic shown measures 35 1⁄2", modeled with minimal ease.
Yarn: S. Charles Collezione Sahara (44% viscose, 20% linen, 36% bamboo; 87 yd [80 m]/50 g): #02 sand, #05 citrus, and #03 blue mist, 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) balls each. Yarn distributed by Tahki Stacy Charles.
Yarn Weight: #2 - Light
Needles:
Sizes 8 (5 mm) and 9 (5.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" in stripe patt on larger needles.
