Cherry blossoms are one of the most welcome and beautiful harbingers of spring. Kristin Spurkland uses four lace patterns to evoke their image in this light and airy mohair-silk shawl.
Finished Size: About 47" (119.5 cm) diameter, blocked. Note: Shawl will relax to about 45" (114.5 cm) diameter when unpinned after blocking.
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Kid Seta (70% kid mohair, 30% silk; 230 yd [210 m]/25 g): #488 rose, 5 skeins.
Yarn weight: #0 - Lace
Gauge: About 5 sts = 1" (2.5 cm) after blocking.
Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): 24" (60-cm) circular (cir) and set of 4 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Marker (m); tapestry needle.
