The designer makes a simple U-neck pullover special with an organic offset motif. Cropped sleeves and a subtle, tweedy alpaca/wool blend yarn make this pullover sweetly feminine. Eyelets and cables carve vines and leaves in low, subtle relief.
Finished Size: 31 (34 1/2, 38, 42, 47, 50 1/2)" bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 38", modeled with about 3" positive ease.
Yarn: Classic Elite Portland Tweed (50% wool, 25% alpaca, 25% viscose; 120 yd [110 m]/50 g): #5025 rosewater, 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10) balls.
Yarn weight: #4 - Medium
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" in St st on larger needles; vine panel from chart (varies from 34 to 38 sts) measures 6" wide on larger needles.
Needles: Body and sleeves-size 7 (4.5 mm). Ribbed lower edges, cuffs, and neckband-size 6 (4 mm): 24" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); removable markers or safety pins; tapestry needle.
