Knit with one strand of black yarn and one strand of white, the deeply textured fabric also has a subtly tweedy appearance. The shaped front pieces flow organically around the shoulders, while a continuous cable rope borders both fronts and the back neck.
Finished Size: 35 1/2 (39, 42 1/2)" bust. Vest shown measures 35 1/2".
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop Shale (35% mohair, 30% acrylic, 20% nylon, 15% viscose; 73 yd [68 m]/50 g): #1 white mix, 4 (5, 6) balls. Loop-d-Loop Fern (70% wool, 30% nylon; 81 yd [74 m]/50 g): #1 cream, 4 (5, 6) balls. Yarns distributed by Tahki Stacy Charles.
Yarn weight: #6 - Super Bulky
Gauge: 9 sts and 12 rows = 4" in rib patt for back with one strand of each yarn held tog and rib slightly stretched so p2 rib columns appear about 1 1/2 sts wide; 13 sts and 12 rows = 4" in cable patt with one strand of each yarn held tog.
Needles: Size 15 (10 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
