The beautiful combination of rich autumn hues in this patterned yoke is the result of many experiments with different yarns, gauges, and colors. Michele Rose Orne designed a classic round-yoke pullover with updated styling. She omitted the traditional ribbed hem, cropped the body, and opened the neckline for a more current silhouette. The patterns on the yoke are echoed on the slim sleeves - all the way to the elbow. A soft alpaca yarn gives the sweater a slightly fuzzy halo and helps blend the stitches that form the color-work sections.
