In this vest, the designer blows up hexagon twist-stitch motifs and wide staghorn cables to give the quilted vest a knitterly touch. I-cord edges, toggle closures, and deep pockets keep the vest sporty.
Finished Size: 33 (36 1/2, 41 1/2, 44 1/2, 49 1/2)" bust circumference, buttoned. Shown in size 33".
Yarn: Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky (85% wool, 15% mohair; 125 yd [115 m]/113 g): #M47 Tahiti teal, 6 (7, 8, 8, 9) skeins.
Yarn weight: #5 - Bulky
Gauge: 18 sts and 20 rows = 4" in hexagon patt on larger needles; center back cable panel measures 6", slightly stretched.
Needles: Size 10 1/2 (6.5 mm): 32" or longer circular (cir). Size 9 (5.5 mm): 16" and 40" cir. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
