This cardigan, inspired by the bounty of a late summer farmers' market, features basket weave and wheat stitches. Loosely structured with a slightly boxy fit, it has an asymmetrical front closure with squared neckline and armholes. Garter stitch edges provide further definition.
Finished Size: 42 (44, 46, 48)" (106.5 (112, 117, 122) cm) bust/chest circumference. Sweater shown measures 44" (112 cm). Note: To maintain a consistent stitch count, the charted patterns differ slightly from that on the sweater pictured.
Yarn: Classic Elite Nature's Palette Double Knitting Cotton (100% organic cotton; 115 yd (105 m)/50 g): #7313 Natural (MC), 8 (9, 9, 9) skeins; #7315 Wheat (CC), 4 (5, 5, 5) skeins.
Yarn weight: #3 - Light
Gauge: 19 sts and 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st on larger needles.
Needles: Body and Sleeves—Size 6 (4 mm); Edgings—Size 5 (3.75 mm). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
