This pattern is the result of a request by a young mother for baby slippers that were easy to put on "fat, little feet" and stay on the feet without slipping off.
Finished Size: 4" (5??", 6)" from back of heel to tip of toe (measured on the outside). To fit infants 3???6 (6???12, 12???18) months old. Actual size is achieved during felting so you can customize the fit to your baby's foot.
Yarn: Naturally Perendale DK (100% wool; 110 yd [101 m]/50 g): #54 red (MC), 1 (1, 2) skein(s); #93 purple (CC), 1 skein. Yarn distributed by Fiber Trends.
Yarn weight: #3 - Light
Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rows = 4" in St st, before felting.
Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm): 16" or 24" circular (cir). Size 10?? (6.5 mm): 1 double-pointed (dpn) or straight needle for casting off. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Spare cir needle in smaller size; tapestry needle.
