A shimmery thread encased in a rayon-blend yarn highlights the play of cables and twists in this fitted V-necked pullover. To create the dramatic twist at the neckline, the lower and upper front pieces are knitted separately, then the upper bodice is twisted one full turn before it's grafted to the lower half. The three-quarter-length sleeves are subtly decorated with a simple twist at the cuff, accomplished in a different way. A center cable completes the theme on twists.
Finished Size: 32 3/4 (35 1/4, 38 3/4, 42, 44 1/2)" bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 35 1/4".
Yarn: Muench String of Pearls (70% cotton, 20% rayon, 10% polyester; 99 yd [90 m]/50 g): #4024 pale blue-gray, 10 (10, 11, 12, 13) balls.
Yarn weight: #4 - Medium
Gauge: 19 sts and 26 rows = 4" in St st; 6 sts of cable = 1" wide.
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): straight and set of 4 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Size H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook; markers (m); stitch holders; cable needle (cn); tapestry needle; waste yarn in weight similar to project yarn.
