This wide belt in BIRCH flaunts a textural pattern of bobbled fuchsias that are placed in opposition, so as to create a chevron effect when buckled up. Leave off the hooks-and-eyes and wear it as a neck cravat.
Finished Size: One Size. Width at Widest Point: 5.5"/14cm. Width at Narrowest Point: 4"/10cm. Length: 32"/81.5cm. To make a longer belt, additional yarn may be required.
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham New Birch (65% cotton, 35% silk; 98 yd [88m]/50g): #14 salmon, 2 balls.
Yarn weight: #4 - Medium
Gauge: 18 sts and 16 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st using #7 needle.
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Sewing needle and matching thread, 4 metal hook-and-eye fasteners, yarn needle.
