Two different merinos combine in this cardigan: A simple stripe pattern creates flattering lines against a tweedy, dark-neutral body. Clean hemmed edges and a flattering wrap shape add up to a streamlined, almost austere, sweater that has big impact.
Finished Size: 32 (35, 38, 41, 44, 47)" bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 35", modeled with about 3" negative ease at bust. Bust size can be adjusted by the amount overlapped at center front.???
Yarn: Morehouse Merino 3-Strand (100% merino; 140 yd [128 m]/56 g): charcoal (MC), 6 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11) skeins. Morehouse Merino 2-Ply (100% merino; 220 yd [201 m]/56 g): raspberry (A), chocolate (B), soft white (C), and oatmeal (D), 1 skein each.
Yarn weight: #4 - Medium
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows = 4" in St st with MC on larger needles.
Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm): 32" circular (cir). Size 5 (3.75 mm): 40" cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Waste yarn; markers (m); tapestry needle.
