The lace pattern (intentionally simple), allows the color of an underlayer to peek through. the twisted straps, which thread through casings, can be replaced by leather cord, i-cord, or any material that will fit through the openings.
Finished Size: 33 (36 1/2, 39 1/2, 42 3/4, 45 3/4, 49 1/4)" (84 [92.5, 100.5, 108.5, 116, 125] cm) bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 36 1/2" (92.5 cm).
Yarn: Jaeger Siena 4 Ply (100% cotton; 153 yd [140 m]/50 g): #411 driftwood (khaki green), 5 (5, 6, 7, 7, 8) balls. Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers.
Yarn weight: #1 - Super Fine
Gauge: 26 sts and 32 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st.
Needles: Size 3 (3.25 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
