Fiona Ellis admits that she finds it a challenge to design summer knitwear. She likes a sweater that will ward off the occasional chill, but she doesnt want to feel bundled up. A lightweight cotton/tencel blend makes this cabled pullover a summertime classic. An unusual lace pattern forms a deep border for the body and sleeves, and its repeated, with a slight picot edging, in the high collar. Slit cuffs give the sleeves a graceful bell shape.
Finished Size: 32 (37, 42 1/2, 48, 53)" (81.5 [94, 108, 12, 134.5] cm) chest/bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 37" (94 cm).
Yarn: Classic Elite Premiere (50% cotton, 50% tencel; 108 yd [99 m]/50 g): #5248 pond (light blue), 11 (12, 13, 15, 17) skeins.
Yarn weight: #3 - Light
Gauge: 24 1/2 sts and 30 rows
Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle; size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook.
