The designer finds beauty in the details. The eyelet stitch pattern that follows the raglan line in her simple pullover is a good example of how effective a single decorative element can be on an otherwise unembellished sweater. She based the proportions of her funnel-neck sweater on Elizabeth Zimmermann's percentage system - see Elizabeth Zimmermann's Knitting Workshop (Schoolhouse Press, 1981). The yarn, a plush alpaca blend, shows off the clean lines of the pullover and highlights the wavy lines in the stitch pattern.
