A practical classic, fingerless mitts are fun to wear for a little color, warmth, and a bit of fancy. Marji LaFreniere's little mitts come in two colorways and feature carefully designed cables and contrasting trim. The mitts reach from just above the wrist to the second knuckle and allow for easy access to cell phone buttons, bike brakes, and the car keys in your handbag.
Finished Size: 7 1/2" (19 cm) hand circumference and 7" (18 cm) long before blocking; 7" (18 cm) hand circumference and 7" (18 cm) long after washing and blocking.
Yarn: The Fibre Company Khroma DK (50% baby alpaca, 50% merino; 160 yd [146 m]/50 g): Pair A: raspberry (MC) and olive oil (green-gold; CC), 1 skein
Yarn weight: #3 - Light
Gauge: 13 sts and 19 rnds = 2" (5 cm) in rib patt worked in the rnd, slightly stretched. Note: Ribbing will be very elastic; gauge may be difficult to measure.
Needles: Size 3 (3.25 mm): set of 5 doublepointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Cable needle (cn); markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
