Knitted from the top down in a unique hand-dyed yarn composed of a strand of bulky, loosely twisted wool plied with another strand of wool and a strand of cotton. The neckband is worked in rows, then joined into a circle, with an overlap at the front. Stitches are divided and the back neck and saddles are knitted separately, then rejoined, and the body is worked in the round to the armholes, divided for sleeves, then worked in the round to the lower edge. An invisible bind-off neatly finishes the lower body and sleeve edges.
