This simple tunic is a breeze to knit - you don't even need to shape armholes. Long ties threaded through foldover casings provide both armhole and neckline shaping. Several rows of ribbing below the waist create a blouson silhouette.
Finished Size: 29'' (33, 37, 41, 45)" bust circumference. Garment shown measures 33".
Yarn: S. Charles Collezione Kyoto (50% cotton, 35% viscose, 15% silk; 110 yd [101 m]/50 g): #5 blue, 6 (7, 8, 9, 10) skeins. Yarn distributed by Tahki Stacy Charles.
Yarn weight: #3 - Light
Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rnds = 4" in St st on larger needles.
Needles: Sizes 4 (3.5 mm) and 6 (4 mm): 24" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

I just finished making this for my daughter and liked how it turned out, EXEPT the ribbed waist did not cinch in at all, even with knitting the ribbing with a cicular needle two sizes smaller. Therefore it did not blouse over as the pictures shows. My solution was to thread thin elastic through the ribbing at 3 points, top, middle and bottom. The white elastic showed through so I dyed the elastic to match the color. A lot of extra work, but I wanted it to look right.
