Work in the round before dividing for the neck and armholes. The simple twenty-row color-work motif has maximum impact when worked in a chunky yarn, while a long-line silhouette and deep V-neck give this quick knit sporty, vintage-inspired charm.
Finished Size: 32 1/2 (36, 41 3/4, 46 1/4, 50 3/4)". Vest shown measures 36".
Yarn: Plymouth Galway Chunky (100% wool; 123 yd [112 m]/100 g): #722 tan heather (MC), 4 (5, 5, 6, 7) skeins; #1 natural, #16 red, #91 orange, #142 pink, and #712 dark brown heather, 1 skein each.
Yarn weight: #5 - Bulky
Gauge: 14 sts and 20 rows/rnds = 4" in solid-color St st; 14 sts and 16 rnds = 4" in color-work patt from chart.
Needles: Size 10 (6 mm): 24" and 16" circulars (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
