Decorate a round yoke with textured paisley motifs.
Bookmark and Share
Sculpted paisly motifs circle a round yoke on Norah Gaughan’s peasant-style blouse. A worsted-weight cotton/rayon yarn, simple reverse stockinette stitch, and circular knitting make the bodice a quick knit to the armhole. When the bodice and sleeves are completed, they are joined on a circular needle, and the patterned yoke is worked in one piece to the finish. A twisted cord runs through small eyelets at the neckline to give it shape. Pull the cord and gather the yoke slightly as shown. Or, if you’re feeling daring, loosen the tie and wear the blouse off the shoulders, Carmen-style.
