The designer uses a mohair blend to subdue but not eclipse the simple zigzagging eyelet pattern of this hat. Used doubled throughout, a mohair halo gently fills the eyelets and makes the plain sections luxuriously dense.
Finished Size: 17 1???2 (20)" head circumference. Hat shown measures 20".
Yarn: GGH Soft Kid (70% kid mohair, 25% nylon, 5% wool; 150 yd [137???m]/25???g): #075 orange, 1 (2) ball(s). Yarn distributed by Muench Yarns.
Yarn weight: #4 - Medium
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows = 4" in zigzag eyelet rib on larger needle with yarn doubled.
Needles: Size 8 (5 mm): 16" circular (cir). Size 9 (5.5 mm): 16" cir and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
