I bought and watched this DVD about a year ago, and just re-watched it last night. I'd forgotten how informative it is! This DVD delivers what it promises: how to take a few products such as modeling paste, tile-backing tape, burlap, plaster gauze, a papier-mache'product, dimensional paint, etc., then mix-and-match them to create the most interesting collage backgrounds. As an elementary art teacher, Sue Pelletier has an easy-going approach to artmaking, using simple craft-store purchases to build up wonderfully textured surfaces.

Cons:
This workshop was very interesting and well taught. Of course the workshop is about texture, so I was left wanting more (specifically, how Sue finished her pieces, layer by layer). The reason I didn't give this download 5 stars is that there was a limited number of texturing techniques covered.
