Create a one-of-a-kind small art quilt using wool felt for the foundation and backing, with no binding. You will make it your own with the fabrics and embellishments that you choose to create your own "dream" house. Easy-to-follow techniques of fusing, free-motion quilting and embellishing will be discussed.
Materials list:
  • 1-1/2 yards of WonderUnder® 805
  • 6 batik blues, 1/8th to 1/4th of a yard
  • 6-8 batik and commercial prints, greens: 1/8th to 1/4th of a yard
  • Fabric scraps for house, cup and saucer, side flowers, and splash (red, purple, pink, orange)
  • Stone path fabric
  • Black-and-white small print for the roof, door, and windows
  • Commercial fabric with circles, marbles, etc.
  • Blue, green, orange and black thread with bobbins to match
  • Topstitch needle
  • 8-1/2" x 11" piece of wool felt or blend (Do not use polyester craft felt.) Note: Use any color that enhances the colors for your piece. (I used green.)
  • 9" x 11-1/2" piece of wool felt or blend, in a color that will be the back, so it has to go with the foundation piece, but not stand out to take away from your design (I used navy blue.)
