Required Materials:

  • White copy paper and a photocopy machine
  • Three different green fabrics, 8" × 8" piece each or 1⁄8 yard each
  • Double-sided fusible ultra-firm stabilizer, such as pellon® 72F peltex® II or fast2fuse®, cut into three 4" × 8" pieces
  • Sewing machine with free-motion foot
  • Variegated green thread for machine sewing
  • 1 yard red silk ribbon, 1⁄2" wide
  • 1 yard green silk ribbon, 1⁄2" wide
  • 1 yard sheer pink silk ribbon, 1⁄2" wide
  • 24 white felted wool balls, 1cm (These are available at handbehg.com.)
  • Variegated green perle cotton thread
  • Embroidery needle
  • Mechanical white chalk pencil (pencils by Sewline and Bohin.)
  • Small sharp fabric scissors
