Okay, most of us are not going to attempt the bent iron work that opens this volume of Weldon's in spite of the editor's statement that "bent iron, as opposed to wrought iron, is admirably adapted for amateur skill..."! But just turn a few pages and you'll find an amazing variety of fun things to create, including more than 140 projects to crochet or knit. Some of the knitted socks in this volume are spectacular - nothing Victorian about them! The man's crocheted vest worked in moss stitch is fashion-runway worthy. The beaded archway curtain is fabulous as are the torch on lace trimmings and the point lace collars. The bent iron work notwithstanding, this volume will bring hours of enjoyment.
