The colors and patterns in this quilt were inspired by traditional indian quilts, or chaklas. This variation mixes in the visual energy of african-american improvisational quilts. It's like a sitar playing jazz.

Finished Size: 55" x 76"

Fabric Requirements:

- 4 colors of 44" wide 100% cotton, 1 yd each

- 1 1/2 yd of 44" wide 100% cotton

- 4 colors of 44" wide 100% cotton, 1/2 yd each

- Scraps of 100% cotton at least 12" long x 1 1/2" wide

- 4 yd of 44" wide 100% cotton for backing

- 1/2 yd of 44" wide 100% cotton for binding
