Top Ten Towels on Four Shafts is the first project collection in our new series: Best of Handwoven. Long-time subscribers will love finding special projects of the same type all in one volume (no more thumbing through issue after issue looking for the perfect towel, rug,scarf, etc.). For new readers, these projects will be completely "new," many from magazines now out of print.

This first towel collection includes ten projects and covers the gamut of color and structure on four shafts. You'll find overshot, summer and winter, huck, basketweave, and several twills, in addition to plain weave. Towel types range from colorful and casual to dressy and elegant. Any errors in the original projects have been corrected, and yarns that are no longer available have been replaced with good substitutes.
