This personalized tote pattern was created by J. Ana Flores Beckett, and was featured in Modern Patchwork 2012. "This tote has a switchable patchwork pocket, making it a fun accessory to customize according to seasons, your outfit, or your mood. The pocket is attached to the tote with Velcro strips along the sides and bottom. An accent button and an elastic loop at the top of the pocket help to keep it in place. The tote is perfect for those last-minute items you grab on your way out the door: keys, a cell phone, and even a magazine. You can create as many pockets for one tote as you wish; the following instructions are for two versions. This is a great dual-purpose project that both beginning and advanced sewers will enjoy."
