Playful plaid tops off a skirt of joined motifs in this snappy tunic, perfect with skinny jeans and tall boots. For a more subdued look, work the bodice in the same tone as the skirt and skip the plaid topstitching.

Finished Size: 26 3⁄4 (30 1⁄2, 34, 37 3⁄4, 41 1⁄4, 45)" bust circumference. Garment shown measures 34", modeled with no ease. Garment is meant to be close fitting with 0–1" ease. 
Yarn: Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool; 220 yd [200 m]/31⁄2 oz [100 g]; ): #1974 spring night (MC), 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2) balls; #910A winter white (CC1), 1 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3) balls; #874 ridge rock (CC2), 1 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3) balls; #875 feather gray (CC 3)
Yarn Weight: #4 - Medium
Hook: Sizes H/8 (5 mm), I/9 (5.5 mm), and J/10 (6 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. 
Notions: Blocking pins and spray bottle; stitch markers (m); two 1⁄2" buttons; yarn needle. 
Gauge: 16 sts and 17 rows = 4" in plaid st patt with smallest hook; motif = 4" in diameter with smallest hook, 4 1⁄4" in diameter with medium hook, and 4 1⁄2" in diameter with larger hook.
