Many jewelry projects require a bail, so why not make your own? With this project, you can learn how to create a variety of bails, from forged wire to domed sheet, in your choice of shape and size. (An assortment of bail designs for the price of one, now that’s what we call a good deal!)  Oh, and did we mention, you can do it all in no time—each quick-to-make bail can be finished in just 30 minutes!


Materials: Fine silver round wire 2.25 mm (dead soft), and fine silver sheet .8 mm thick (dead soft).

Tools: Goldsmith hammer, steel block or anvil, saw frame, #3/0 saw blades, bench pin, half round/fl at pliers, and round nose pliers.
