Beastly Crochet: 23 Critters to Wear and Love
by Brenda K. B. Anderson

Find silly monsters, evil bunnies, and killer robots in this collection of creepy-cute accessories and toys!

Author Brenda Anderson presents 23 scary-cute accessories and toys to crochet, including furry monsters, carnivorous plants, killer robots, and menacing tiki figures. While there are some literal monsters in the bunch—toys and amigurumi—a majority of projects are wearable accessories and garments. Some projects, such as a robot-themed intarsia blanky, are for children to enjoy, while many others are for adults and teens who want to have a little fun.

Brenda shows how to tackle all the sewing and appliqué techniques required in her patterns, including how to install zippers, as well as subtle tricks for achieving personality in critter projects with a section on “The Principles of Cuteness.”

Beastly Crochet is a book that is as fun to read as it is to crochet from!

Excellent Book! Review by Michelle
Rating

This book was an impulse buy but I don't regret it one bit! I couldn't wait to start on the adorable monster candy dish(cover) and am almost finished(been taking my time). The pictures are realllllyyyy cute and the instructions are very well written, I love the tips too. My only slight issue with it is because I am an advanced crocheter, the instructions are too simple and I have to read through them and kinda combine it in my head beforehand. But It's not a complaint at all, I am glad it's written out so well, I want everyone to have this book!

I love that it came with an electronic version too, so I was halfway through the project when I got the actual book in the mail! So fun! I did give five stars because I have a lot of crochet books and this book has everything you need/want in a crochet book.
