Designed by Beadwork magazine Editor Melinda Barta, this fun-to-make double-wrapped bracelet is the perfect combination of seed beads and leather. Begin by making two star-motif discs using circular peyote stitch, then stack the two sides and join them into buttonlike coins. Simple decrease stitches worked along the outside edges create openings that allow the reversible coins to be strung on flat strips of leather. This design is featured in Mastering Peyote Stitch by Melinda Barta.
Kit includes: Beads (high-quality size 11° Japanese seed beads by Toho and Miyuki, including permanent and Durocoat galvanized finishes), beading needle, ball-end head pin, and naturally dyed round leather cord. Project includes project directions, an excerpt from Mastering Peyote Stitch. For more peyote stitch projects, purchase the entire book.
