Description

Designer Nancy Shroyer says, “Baby sweaters should be easy to put on, without small buttons, and should keep baby warm in a stroller or car seat.” Two big buttons, surplice fronts, and blackberry stitch do the trick in the Blackberry Wrap Cardi.

Finished Size: 19. (20. , 22)" chest circumference; to fit 12 (18, 24) months. Cardigan shown measures 22". 
Yarn: Miss Babs Yowza—Whatta Skein! (100% merino superwash wool; 560 yd [512 m]/8 oz): Day at the Paramount (brown/tan/rose variegated), 1 (1, 2) skein(s). 
Yarn Weight: #3 - Light     
Needles:  Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 4 (3.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. 
Notions:  Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; two 1⅜ " buttons. 
Gauge:  25. sts and 28 rows = 4" in blackberry st on larger needles.
