Description
This simple motif reminds designer Kathy Merrick of Persian carpet Boteh (Old Persian for "cluster of leaves"). They can look like leaves, pine cones, pears, or paisleys. Each motif flows gracefully into the next, resulting in a swirled effect, and this lightweight wool yarn lends excellent drape to the whole project.

Can't wait to begin! Review by Kathleen

I am so looking forward to making and wearing this scarf. I will have an opportunity to practice crocheting again after many years. Of course, the Lorna's Laces yarn that came with the scarf kit is scrumptious, but I was disappointed in the color. The photo led me to believe it would be a warm blush tone, but it is a light warm khaki. I am sure I will love whatever it eventually becomes--it just isn't a color I would wear near my face. I am searching for a substitute.

Best scarf Review by Amanda Gregory

I have made this scarf more than a dozen times. I have made it lacier by adding spaces between sts, I have use half double crochet for the main bedy of the scarf, I have added picots to the outer sides, and I have even added beads to the outside edges. With imagination, it is just so versatile. the compliments always come and it looks difficult, but it is a very easy pattern.

Adjustment? Review by deborah moros

I just downloaded this pattern and I was wondering how it would look if I shortened the DTR row to a different stitch. I'm thinking it's a little too long. Using an E hook and a little thicker than sock yarn. But I love it! Thanks, Deb

This scarf is so pretty! I receive complements wherever I go. Plus, being new to crochetting, it was an easy pattern for me to master.
