- great idea! Review by lizee
The chalk cloth I was able to find was only 27" wide so I had to adjust my cutting measurements. I did not make the quilted border and backed the chalk fabric with printed flannel. (The flannel was printed with roadways so it can be used to play with small vehicles. Dual duty floor mat)! Nor did I make the sitting mats. (Kids 'lounge', not sit, on the floor). I used fusible quilt batting for the batting which worked well. I used my iron only on the flannel side and did not touch the chalk cloth with the iron.. Great idea for kids but I didn't feel the need for the quilting. Kids wouldn't appreciate the added effort.
