Worked from side to side, this bolero-style shrug grows by increasing the size of the entrelac units from the cast-on to the center, and then decreases to the original stitch count on the other side.
Finished Size: 33 (37, 41)" (84 [94, 104] cm). Sample shown measures 33" (84 cm).
Yarn: DK weight (Light #3). Shown here: Rowan Felted Tweed (50% merino, 25% alpaca, 25% viscose; 191 yd [175 m]/50 g): 3 (4, 4) balls. Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers.
Yarn Weight: #3 - Light
Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm): 24" (60 cm) circular (cir) and set of double-pointed needles (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); scrap yarn for stitch holders.
Gauge: 22 sts and 24 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st.
