My 2014 Goal:

Looking at my goals, I have christened 2014 the Year of the Crochet Sweater.

This year I am going to explore a variety of sweater constructions, from top-down designs to crochet cardigans and pullovers that highlight motifs and innovative details.

My first project is the Lauren Sweater by Mimi Alelis. I am intrigued by the use of crocheted ribbing at the neckline and the columns of solid stitches and lace shell stitches.

My 2014 Goal:

My crochet goals for 2014 are two-fold. I want to get through some of my stash… especially those unusual fibers that I generally stray away from. For me, that tends to be linen and cotton. My goal is to plow through those odd skeins and balls that have been ignored for no good reason.

Secondly, after years and years of barely finishing holiday gifts on time, I want to crank these out early in 2014! We are talking a starting date of January people! So, I’ll be stash-busting while simultaneously gift-busting. Ideal projects will be relatively quick 1 skein wonders for both men, women, and dogs (yes… dogs).

Here, I have gathered a basket of oddball skeins (some I may have in two colors). This will be my stash to bust through for presents in 2014!
