LOVED THIS CLASS! Review by Flora

I loved every second of this class. I'm afflicted with the "Design My Own Fabric" passion, and I enjoy learning from many different professionals who have explored this concept. The last few wall art quilts I've made have all been with fabric I've designed and had printed (via companies such as Spoonflower). Jane offers both a confirmation of several things I had already been doing plus several new ideas that will make my future projects even better!

I'm disappointed Review by Gala

I was a little disappointed in this video. I have played with Spoonflower for some time now and have many fabrics in my design studio. I was hoping to see Jane go through her design process and use of photograph manipulation. It is just a tutorial on using Spoonflower which is basically self explanatory.

Highly recommended for any artist, untangles digital mysteries Review by Lyn

Jane’s Design and Print Your Own Fabric is a fascinating look at the endless digital design possibilities available online to any artist, not just those who work in fiber and fabric. I was so excited by the techniques she demonstrated that I want to pause the video and rush off to try each one as she introduced it. Jane untangles the Gordian know of pixels, resolution, downloading and file names in her calm, knowledgeable and friendly manner. She gives hands-on tips, as well, such as the marvelous “expanded square” design and her “scavenger hunt” for yummy visual textures from vintage fabrics and exotic papers. And just when your brain can’t hold another Eureka, she says, “But wait – there’s more” – and there is! I will refer back to this wonderful video whenever I need an inspiration or a confidence-builder. Thanks, Jane!
